New home construction down 35 per cent

Figures from the Cyprus Statistical Service (CYSTAT) reveal that building permits authorised for the construction of new homes fell 35 per cent last November compared with the same period the previous year.

Building permits down 2 per cent

The latest figures from the Cyprus Statistical Service report that the number of building permits issued in October 2014 stood at 446; a 2 per cent fall on the number issued in October 2013.

Construction slowdown continues

The slowdown in the island's construction sector persists with the number of building permits issued in Cyprus continuing to fall in September, according to official statistics.

Cyprus building permits down 14 per cent

The number of building permits issued in Cyprus during July fell 14 per cent compared with the corresponding month of last year, while the number of new homes being built fell 39 per cent.

Building permits up 11% in June

The number of building permits issued in in June increased 11 per cent compared with the corresponding month of last year, but their numbers have fallen 5 per cent during the first half of 2014.

Building permits down 24% in April

The number of building permits issued in fell 24 per cent compared with the corresponding month of last year and their numbers have declined 14 per cent during the first four months of 2014.

Building permits down 10% in the first quarter

The number of building permits issued in March increased compared with the corresponding month of last year, but their numbers have declined 10.3% during the first quarter of 2014.

Decline in building permits continues

The number of building permits issued in February continued to fall compared with the corresponding month of last year according to the latest figures released by the Cyprus Statistical Service.
